Admit it: part of you is not-so-secretly hoping that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson will get back together. I get it! They were weirdly cute! But sadly a reunion is "not in the cards" for these two.
"It was an amicable split. They had discussed ending their relationship for a bit. It wasn't sudden," a source told People in the days following the relationship. "And it was a mutual decision. Getting back together is not in the cards right now."
The source added that the split wasn't sudden (which another source also confirmed over on Us Weekly because sources are truly working overtime right now), "They've definitely been slowing down. Things heated up quickly in the beginning when he could travel back and forth to see Kim and spend time with her, but his schedule has gotten so packed. Pete is still super bummed, though, about the breakup. They really hit it off and had a ton of fun together, but it feels like it ran its course."
Fans of Pete and Kim will presumably still get to see a bunch of their relationship play out in The Kardashians season 2 (unless Hulu decides to do some re-editing...tbd), at least based on the trailer which included him dropping literally all his things to join her in the shower.
Kim also spoke about how they connected post-Saturday Night Live in The Kardashians season one, saying "I text him. I wasn't even thinking like, 'Oh my God, I'm gonna be in a relationship with him.' I was just thinking, 'Heard about this BDE, need to get out there, I need to jumpstart my...I was just basically DTF."
