Atlanta Braves, family dedicate new mural of Hank Aaron
The Atlanta Braves and Hank Aaron’s family dedicated a mural Thursday morning highlighting one of baseball’s greatest careers.
Students at the Henry Louis “Hank” Aaron New Beginnings Academy will be able to enjoy it for years to come.
Aaron’s wife Billye hopes the mural can go on to inspire young people for generations.

The mural’s artist said he was motivated by his years working as a teacher. He said Hank Aaron was a baseball legend but called him a hero for what he did off the field.
Just last week, Hank Aaron’s family and Atlanta officials introduced a new bust and mural in his old southwest Atlanta neighborhood.
Aaron passed away in January 2021 at age 86.
