When was the last time you updated your lingerie drawer? If you’re like me it’s not something you do very often but since it’s a new year (and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner) what better time to add a few new delicate items to your collection?
Today, we’re honing in on the marvel of Italian lingerie—something the Italians have mastered to perfection. If you’ve never bought or considered Italian lingerie before then take a peek below as a helpful guide. We tapped into a handful of stylish Italian women to share the Italian lingerie brands that are too good to pass up. From smaller brands creating cheeky messaging to well-known brands with incredible quality pieces, these pieces below will be a beautiful addition to every lingerie drawer.
When it comes to lingerie brands I’m a very selective person. I have a thing for unique pieces, carefully embroidered items, and satin or tulle fabrics (I personally love the sheer look). Plus, I’m a 32DD size so when it comes to bras I avoid push-up or padded cups. My two favorite Italian lingerie brands which, in my opinion, perfectly embody these qualities are La Perla and Incanto.
"Incanto offers a huge beautiful selection. They are very affordable and have the best quality-price ratio."
Incanto Soft Cup Bra Gioconda ($60)
Incanto Soft-cup foam padded bra Marika ($25)
"What can I say about La Perla? The name speaks for itself! Wearing La Perla is like wearing a beautiful piece of jewelry. Visiting their boutiques is a very special experience. It’s like being in a candy shop—you want to buy everything!"
La Perla Souple Lace and Stretch Cotton-Blend Jersey Soft-Cup Bra ($135)
La Perla Flower Explosion Embroidered Stretch-Tulle Soft-Cup Triangle Bra ($160)
"The Italian-based label creates sumptuous lingerie. Their pieces are fun, put you in a good mood, and have a slightly youthful touch of femininity reminiscent of the film Lolita."
Chité Lingerie Lover Knickers in Tulle "Soft and Dangerous" Pink ($27)
Chitè Lingerie Embroidered High-Waist Briefs ($80)
"Gucci's lingerie collection is very sexy. I love the texture and all-over logo detail. Their bras are to die for."
Gucci Tulle Lingerie Set ($1100)
Gucci GG Tulle Bodysuit ($980)
"When it comes to lingerie, I love neutral colors, soft fabrics, and non-wired bras. NNIDE is a favorite because of its luxurious Italian fabrics and amazing minimal design. You can wear their pieces under a cute oversized shirt or vest for that subtle pop. They’re so beautiful that it's seriously a shame to hide them under your clothes!"
NNIDE Etta ($300)
NNIDE Ursula ($120)
"I also like Fantabody because their pieces are designed to embrace all body types. Whenever I navigate their shop, I immediately feel good about myself. Their mesh pieces are my favorite—extra comfy and super cool."
Fantabody Top & Bottom Blush ($135)
Fantabody Barbara Mesh Black ($83)
"I prefer to support small Italian companies, which produce high-quality products such as Shh Milano—a fashion line made entirely of cotton, interpreted in different colors and patterns, with a touch of irony."
Shh Milano Shh Knickers Lucky You ($36)
Shh Milano Shh Knickers La Dolce Vita ($36)
"Another Italian brand I love is Malena Lingerie. You can find timeless, romantic pieces that make you feel sexy and strong and have a good, comfortable fit. This brand uses the world of Greek mythology—each item in the collection has the name of a Goddess, a Nymph, or a mythological character."
Malena Lingerie Brassius Nilufar ($42)
Malena Lingerie Black Swan Bodysuit ($120)
"I go to Intimissimi to buy all my stretch black bras and lingerie in black. They're very comfortable, and the price point is great, but best of all, the brand recently introduced a line in plain, simple silk, which is amazing."
Intimissimi Pretty Flowers Modal-And-Lace Mid-Sleeve Bodysuit ($39)
Intimissimi Emma Silk Triangle Bra ($59)
Intimissimi Tiziana Lace Triangle Bra - Intimissimi ($49)
