Although Jamal Adams' long-term future with the Jets is somewhat in doubt, Cal safety Ashtyn Davis is eager to learn from him.

Drafted 68th overall, Davis told SNY's Jeane Coakley that although he doesn't know a lot about defensive coordinator Gregg Williams yet, he's been paying attention to Adams and is excited to meet Marcus Maye.

"I do watch a lot of Jamal Adams on tape," he said. "He's a guy, we call it 'above-the-neck football,' a guy who's really smart and also plays very physical, and I think those are two things I like about my game as well, so I look forward to meeting those guys."

The walk-on at Cal also spoke to SNY about getting the call on draft night, his college track career, the upcoming weeks and what Jets fans can expect from him.
