Army soldiers competing for Team USA in PyeongChang
Since 1948, 446 Army soldiers have represented the United States in the Olympics, earning 111 medals.
This year, seven athletes and will be representing the United States Army in PyeongChang. These Soldiers will be competing in the bobsled and luge events.
Sweeney will be competing in her first Olympics in the women’s singles luge. She won the 2013 Junior World Championship and is a two-time US Team member.
Weber is an active duty Green Beret who is making his Olympic debut in PyeongChang.
Cunningham has been a Team USA member almost continuously since 1999. He won an Olympic Bronze Medal in 2002.
Fogt won the bronze medal in the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. This will be his third Olympics.
Mortensen will be competing in his second Olympics.
Morris, who was an alternate in the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, is a two-time Junior National Champion.
Olsen is a two-time world champion and Olympic medalist. This will be his third Olympics.
