Arkansas lands former 5-star recruit Jadon Haselwood from Oklahoma

The trade is complete. In a manner of speaking.

Former Oklahoma wide receiver Jadon Haselwood entered the transfer portal after the Sooners’ season and announced Sunday his next destination would be Arkansas.

Haselwood had 39 catches for 399 yards and six touchdowns for Oklahoma last season. He was a five-star recruit out of Georgia in high school when he chose the Sooners. While at Cedar Grove High in Ellenwood, Georgia, Haselwood twice won a state championship while playing for now-Arkansas running backs coach Jimmy Smith.

It’s the second time in three years Arkansas and Oklahoma have exchanged players with former Razorbacks wideout Mike Woods playing for Oklahoma this year.

Haselwood would almost certainly slot into the No. 2 wide receiver role upon his arrival, which could boost to No. 1 receiver if junior wideout Treylon Burks opts to enter the NFL draft.

Haselwood plans to be in Fayetteville for the spring semester and would be eligible to play in the 2022 season.
