-Gregg Rosenberg has released his lists for the top local basketball players in the classes of 2020, and 2021. If you're not a subscriber to Arizona Varsity, it's worth it to see his scouting reports alone, such as his recent recap of the West Coast Elite All Star Camp.

And if you think it's wild to have high school freshman ranked already, Arizona State just offered 6-9 8th grader Dylan Anderson.

-If you follow local football recruiting on social media, you may have noticed an influx of offers from Simpson College. Just in the last week, O'Connor's Dylan Lepick and Ryan Langford, Queen Creek's Jacori Wooten and Jake Ayala, Notre Dame Prep's Joey Jaquint, Blake Story and Vic Annoreno, Deer Valley's Talianuu Tanai, Chandler Pearson and Ryley Conoway, Centennial's Trevor Renfro, Pinnacle's Dylan Stevenson, Boulder Creek's Murphy Hartmann, North Canyon's Tre O'Guinn and others have all received offers from the Indianola, Iowa NCAA DIII school. The roster currently boasts five Arizonans, including former Hamilton quarterback Sam Sasso.

In basketball, Red Mountain's Timmy Allen, Gregg Rosenberg's #1 prospect for the state of Arizona for 2018 committed to the University of Utah. Compton Magic Director Etop Udo-Ema talked to Eric Bossi of Rivals about the commitment:

"He just fell in love with his future teammates and the coaching staff. Coach K has always kind of been his favorite anyway and it's a perfect fit for him. If you look at their roster it is kind of like guards and bigs so there's nobody in between and it's a great situation for him to come in."
