Ardmore to host sporting clay tournament

Oct. 31—Ardmore's Black and Gold will host a sporting clay tournament Friday at Old South Clays in Athens.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to support the Ardmore High School softball program.

The tournament will feature four-man teams with a $600 entry fee per team. The entry fee includes 100 clays per person and lunch. Shooters must provide their own shells, and only factory shells are allowed.

There will be two flights. The first flight will have check-in at 8 a.m and will start at 8:30 a.m. The afternoon flight's check-in is at noon with start time of 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each flight.
