Can we take anything away from Jayson Tatum’s offseason workouts with Jaylen Brown and Paul Pierce?

The proverbial 15 pounds of muscle stemming from the offseason workouts of NBA players is a training camp interview staple, but star players on the same team — retired or otherwise — are a much less common outcome seen during the dog days of August.

Yet, we have seen superstar Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum working out with not just one but two Boston alumni this offseason so far, with the St. Louis native putting in reps with All-NBA teammate Jaylen Brown and retired Hall of Fame Celtics champ Paul Pierce. Can we take anything away from Tatum’s offseason workouts with this duo of Boston killers? Or is the news of those training sessions more akin to the eternal 15 pounds of muscle mentioned above?

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Cedric Maxwell” podcast dove into what these workouts might mean for Tatum and Boston next season.
