RAPHIELLE JOHNSON: The loss of Karl-Anthony Towns is a significant one for the Timberwolves, the team that has struggled to establish its chemistry in the aftermath of the Rudy Gobert trade. KAT's absence means two things. First and foremost, there only be one center on the court, being Gobert. And the other is that they're going to need more production from Anthony Edwards, especially from a consistency standpoint.

He's answered that call thus far. A top 10 fantasy player over the last week, Edwards finished the Timberwolves November 30 win over Memphis with 29 points, three rebounds, five assists, five steals, three blocked shots, and two 3-pointers, shooting 10 for 18 from the field and a perfect 7 for 7 from the foul line. Edwards hasn't been a great fantasy option thus far, providing fifth round value in 9-cat formats for the season. But Towns' absence may be what propels him up the rankings.
