Ant and Dec keen to do another sitcom
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have revealed they would love to star in another sitcom together.
The Geordie presenting duo starred in a one-off remake of 1960s sitcom The Likely Lads in 2002 and admitted they are keen to do more acting together.
McPartlin told The Sun: “We’ve talked about it quite seriously in the past. We’ve got quite close. We did a version of The Likely Lads, which we loved.

“And we loved the process of it - rehearsing it and doing it in front of a live studio audience.”
Donnelly added: “You’ve got to get the idea right and make sure it’s the right thing at the right time. The other thing is finding time to do it with the three big shows we’ve got.”
The hosts of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeway, Britain’s Got Talent and I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! met, aged 13, starring in kids TV show Byker Grove in 1990.

They launched a pop career as PJ & Duncan, releasing the Top 10 single Let's Get Ready To Rhumble in 1994, and subsequently built their TV presenting career from kids TV.
In 2002 the pair returned to acting in A Tribute To The Likely Lads, playing pals Bob and Terry, the roles made famous by Rodney Bewes and James Bolam in the original 1960s sitcom.
In 2006 McPartlin and Donnelly tried their hands at acting again in comedy movie Alien Autopsy.
But they have predominently stuck to presenting over the years - loved by audiences and raking in viewing figures for ITV. This year they won the National Television Award for Best TV Presenter for the 19th time running.
McPartlin pled guilty to drink-driving in April 2018 after he was found to be more than than twice the legal alcohol limit while driving his Mini in London in March 2018. He was suspended from work at ITV for several months and sought rehabilitation treatment, leaving Donnelly to carry on without him. They were reunited on screen on Britain’s Got Talent in 2019.
