Los Angeles Angels right-hander Garrett Richards departed Wednesday's start against the Seattle Mariners after two innings due to an apparent hamstring injury, according to multiple reports.

The Angels had yet to confirm the injury or divulge the seriousness as the game reached the middle innings.

Richards allowed two runs and four hits and struck out two before exiting.

Right-hander Noe Ramirez replaced Richards in the third inning.

Richards entered the contest with a 4-4 record and 3.26 ERA. The early departure marks his seventh consecutive winless outing.
