Angel Reese, Jasmine Carson set records in LSU’s win over Florida

The LSU Tigers women’s basketball team strung together its second-straight win since a disappointing loss to South Carolina on Sunday, beating Florida on the road 90-79.

The Tigers got monster performances from a pair of standouts in Angel Reese and Jasmine Carson, who each scored 25 points in a win that saw them walk away holding new records.

Reese is the first SEC player over the last 20 years to total 25 points, 15 rebounds and five assists in a conference game. Carson, meanwhile, tied the LSU school record for most made threes against a conference opponent with seven in the win on Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers remained No. 5 in the AP Poll this week after winning both their games against Ole Miss and the Gators. Coach Kim Mulkey and her team return to the court on Thursday night when they travel to Nashville, Tennessee, to take on Vanderbilt.
