Andy Murray was among the British players receiving tough draws at the Fever-Tree Championships at Queen’s Club, which begin on Monday.
Murray and his doubles partner Feliciano Lopez were drawn against the top seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in their opening match, while our No 1 singles player, Kyle Edmund, will play world No 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Dan Evans is up against triple slam champion Stan Wawrinka and Cameron Norrie must take on second seed Kevin Anderson.
At the Nature Valley Classic in Birmingham, meanwhile, the recent Roland Garros semi-finalist Johanna Konta will play Anett Kontaveit in the first round.
British No. 3 Heather Watson will face the experienced Czech player Barbora Strycova while Harriet Dart – who received a wild card – has drawn Yulia Putintseva, the Kazakh who brought so much intensity to the recent Fed Cup tie against Great Britain at London’s Olympic Park.
