Wiggins brushes off Stephen A. Smith's 'cookies' trade comment originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Stephen A. Smith made an interesting comment about Andrew Wiggins earlier this week on ESPN's "The Jump" show.

"I'd give Wiggins away for a bag of cookies," Smith said. "Not because of his talent, but there's something about him that says he doesn't want it."

Wiggins was asked about that statement after the Warriors' shoot-around Thursday.

Wiggins spent the first five-plus seasons of his NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves before he was traded to Golden State in February 2020.

The 26-year-old is playing back in Minnesota for the first time Thursday night.

How does he believe he'll be greeted by the fans at Target Center?

"Shoot, I couldn't tell you, man [laughter]," Wiggins said. "To be honest, I don't know. I'm excited to see though."
