Wiggins describes what Warriors will be when Klay returns originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

The Warriors are 6-2 in their last eight games, and Andrew Wiggins is one of the main reasons the Dubs are trending in the right direction.

The 25-year-old forward registered 17 points, four assists and four blocks in Golden State's win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night, and has taken his defense to a whole new level.

Wiggins after the victory admitted this "for sure" is the happiest he has been in his NBA career, and then used the question as an opportunity to spin things forward.

"We're winning, everyone's happy, we're getting after it and I feel we're only getting better," he told the media. "We have so much room to grow.

"So by the end of it -- the end result -- I feel like we're gonna be great. And right now, we don't have Klay [Thompson]. When he comes back, it's gonna be a scary sight (chuckles).

"Just gotta keep it going."

Wiggins is a laid-back, soft-spoken guy who doesn't typically provide many buzzworthy quotes. But it sure seems like he's coming out of his shell a little as he gets more and more comfortable when it comes to his standing within the franchise.

The No. 1 overall pick from the 2014 draft is focused on the present, and understands he and the Warriors have a lot to try and accomplish this year. But he also is well aware of how special Golden State can be when Klay -- who will miss the entire season with a torn right Achilles tendon -- returns in 2021-22.
