In an incredible finish, Brentford snatched a draw having nearly lost a game they had dominated.

They were by far the better side against Manchester United for most of the match at the Gtech Community Stadium and hit the woodwork on four occasions while it was goalless.

However, they thought they would leave empty-handed when United substitute Mason Mount scored in the 96th minute as the visitors headed for what had seemed an unlikely victory.

But Ivan Toney, who scored for England against Belgiuim on Tuesday and who was one of those to hit the frame of the goal against United, found Kristoffer Ajer and he finished to give the Bees a point they desperately deserved.

It takes them six points clear of 18th-placed Luton Town as they fight to maintain their Premier League place.

Bees boss Thomas Frank said he "nearly lost faith in the football god", before the equaliser and was understandably delighted with his side's performance.

If they can repeat this for the rest of the season then they will have nothing to worry about and will be well clear of a relegation battle.
