One of the most legendary and recognizable uniforms in all of sport is making a comeback.

On Saturday, the Anaheim Ducks did the sporting world a favour when they showcased their brand new third jerseys. The sweater will be predominantly black, but it will incorporate the widely under-utilized colour combination of purple and teal, along with the five other colours the team has dawned during its 25-year history.

And, the greatest feature of it all: The original Mighty Ducks logo.

It truly is a thing of beauty and a genius move by the organization as it reaches the quarter-century mark. Naturally, when you pay tribute to a logo that many associate with arguably the greatest hockey movie ever, people are going to appreciate your masterpiece.

You know it’s a great look when fans who don’t even like your team want to buy your jersey. This kind of Mighty Ducks reboot was long overdue, and the people are definitely here for it.
