Arizona Coyotes to Kansas City? Patrick Mahomes' NHL relocation post draws strong reaction
Everyone seems to have an opinion about the future of the Arizona Coyotes after the team's new arena was rejected by Tempe voters in an election Tuesday.
Even NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes, who led the Kansas City Chiefs to the Super Bowl championship in Arizona earlier this year, tweeted out his recommendation for a possible relocation destination for the Coyotes on Wednesday.
His suggestion? Kansas City, of course.
Mahomes tweeted: "KC coyotes has a nice ring to it! @NHL what y’all think? @tmobilecenter"

Kansas City has been speculated as a potential home to an NHL franchise for some time, and Mahomes wasn't the only person on social media to speculate about the Arizona Coyotes potentially moving there.

Soooo…. KC would be a terrible market for a hockey team. Majority of Missouri are Blues fans or even Blackhawk fans. The area isn’t big enough to support a third team like that. No reason to divide fanbases

I am a hockey fan and I really want to believe that KC can support an NHL team long term but have little faith. The Mavericks are perfect for KC and I can live with that. The NBA has a better chance long term imo.

Love the Coyotes. I want them to stay. I know how important it is they stay for the youth and the entire game of hockey in AZ and the jobs etc.
