Car thief leads police in 100-mph chase through Paxton, Leicester; still at large

LEICESTER — Investigators are looking for an alleged car thief who led officers on a pursuit Tuesday through Paxton, Leicester and Worcester.

The suspect reportedly hit some cars with the stolen vehicle in Paxton, allegedly going as fast as 100 mph. At one point, the suspect abandoned the stolen Honda on Route 9 in Leicester and stole a second car, a Nissan Altima. Leicester officers lost track of the suspect when he crossed the Worcester line. There were no immediate arrests.
