Alex Ovechkin passes Teemu Selanne for the 11th most goals in NHL history

Monday night marked another huge milestone for The Great Eight.

During the Capitals game against the Hurricanes, Alex Ovechkin scored his 685th career goal and 27th goal of the season with an assist from Tom Wilson. 

Monday's goal moved Ovi past Teemu Selanne, placing Ovi in 11th place on the all-time scoring list. 

Moments later Ovi went on to score yet again, extending the Caps lead to 2-0 over the Hurricanes.
