Last summer, Ovechkin and his Washington teammates celebrated their Stanley Cup victory in part by swimming in the fountains at the Georgetown, Maryland, waterfront.

This year, Ovechkin went flyboarding and wakeskating while on vacation with his family. Back in June, both Ovechkin and his wife Nastasiya both posted videos to their Instagram stories of the Capitals captain flyboarding. (It wasn't the forward's first time, however, as he psoted a video on Instagram in 2016 doing the same thing).

Then on Wednesday, Ovechkin posted a clip of himself wakeskating (like jetskiing, but different).

After the Capitals' 2018 Stanley Cup celebration went viral, when the team paraded the Cup through the streets of D.C. after Ovechkin threw out the first pitch at the Nationals game that day, fountains and water will be forever tied to the Washington captain.

So tied together that at last year's NHL Awards, Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom filmed a promotional video in front of the MGM Grand fountains.

Needless to say Ovechkin is still living it up in his off-time.
