After a year off from baseball, Alex Cora is ready to get back to work.

Cora was officially welcomed back to Boston on Tuesday with an introductory press conference. The Red Sox manager's return was captured in a cool behind-the-scenes video posted by the team on Saturday.

There's no doubt Cora has plenty of work to do as he resumes his role with the club he led to a World Series championship in 2018. After serving a year-long suspension for his role in the Houston Astros' sign-stealing scandal, Cora readily admits he needs to redeem himself.

The first step on his path to redemption will be to rejuvenate a Red Sox team that finished last in the AL East with a putrid 24-36 record in 2020. It won't be an easy task, but players should be willing to buy in with Cora back in the fold.
