The Knicks could be extremely thin at guard Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers, as Alec Burks has been listed as doubtful to play, the team announced, which adds to Dennis Smith Jr. and Immanuel Quickley already being ruled out for the contest.

Burks is dealing with a left ankle injury he suffered Sunday night during the Knicks' win over the Milwaukee Bucks — their first of the season.

Milwauee's Bryn Forbes closed out a three-point attempt by Burks and undercut the guard on his shot, earning him a flagrant-one foul that sent Burks to the line — where he made all three foul shots — and gave the Knicks the ball back after.

Although Burks continued to play a few more minutes in the game, it looks like the injury got worse once the swelling kicked in the next day.

Down Smith Jr. (quad) and Quickley (hip), and potentially Burks, the Knicks will rely heavily on Elfrid Payton and Frank Ntilikina, who both had extremely good games against the Bucks on Sunday.
