Who will Alabama softball play in the Tuscaloosa Regional final on Sunday?

Alabama softball will play Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday to determine the winner of the Tuscaloosa Regional and advance to a super regional.

The Crimson Tide (35-17) need just one win on Sunday to advance to its 18th super regional, while Southeastern Louisiana (47-16) needs to defeat Alabama twice to win the regional and advance to the super regional.

Alabama defeated USC Upstate 1-0 on Friday night in its opening game before taking down Southeastern Louisiana 6-3 in nine innings on Saturday behind a Riley Valentine two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning.

Southeastern Louisiana defeated Clemson 6-2 on Friday night to advance to the winners brackets, where it fell 6-3 to Alabama on Saturday. The Lions then went onto defeat Clemson by a score of 6-2 in Saturday night's elimination game to advance to the regional final on Sunday.

Game 1 on Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT and will be aired on ESPN2. Game 2, if necessary, will follow to determine the winner.

The winner of the Tuscaloosa Regional will face the winner of the Knoxville Regional in the super regional round May 23-26. That regional is headlined by No. 3 seed Tennessee along with Dayton, Miami (Ohio) and Virginia.
