Good Friday morning, ‘Bama nation! Welcome back to another edition of Alabama Morning Drive where we strive to bring you the latest and greatest involving your beloved Crimson Tide.

What a night Thursday night was as two former members of Nick Saban’s Alabama football team were selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. We will take a look at where both Evan Neal and Jameson Williams landed and which other former members of the Crimson Tide may hear their names called tonight on Day 2.

Let’s get this 2022 NFL draft edition of Alabama Morning Drive rolling.

First…Evan Neal was selected No. 7 overall…

The New York Giants got a steal with the No. 7 overall selection of Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal. Neal was projected to be the top pick for the majority of the build-up to the draft, but as teams often do, they decide to get cute with their evaluations and selections.

Neal has All-Pro tackle written all over him and the Giants are lucky to have him.

Next…Jameson Williams was selected No. 12 overall…

It’s obvious that the Detriot Lions had their eyes set on Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams. In one of the biggest moves of the first round, the Lions traded the No. 32, No. 34, and No. 66 picks to the Minnesota Vikings for the No. 12 and No. 46 picks in order to grab Williams with the No. 12 selection.

Finally…Second and third round projections…

Alabama fans will definitely want to tune in to the NFL draft tonight. It is almost a guarantee a handful of former members of the Crimson Tide will hear their names called.

Let’s take a look at my second and third-round projections for some former Alabama stars.

You can catch rounds two and three on Friday night beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT on ESPN, NFL Network, and ABC.

That is going to conclude our Friday edition of Alabama Morning Drive. I hope everyone has a great weekend and we will see you back here on Monday.
