Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have made the top-12 list for a four-star linebacker out of Marlin, Texas, Derion Gullette. The 2023 prospect has been courted by many big-time programs, but will choose between Alabama and 11 others.
Currently, there’s no indication that he is leaning one way or another, which is not an issue this early in the recruiting cycle. Gullette still has a full year of high school football remaining before he makes the jump to the collegiate level.
Alabama joins other high-profile programs in pursuit of the Texas-native, but will have to show him what makes the Crimson Tide stand above the rest.
Numerous linebackers have found success at Alabama and went on to have successful careers in the NFL, with the hefty paychecks that come with it. Gullette could soon join that list.
