Alabama DB DeMarcco Hellams announces his return to Crimson Tide
As news breaks of players transferring from Alabama or players entering the NFL draft, there comes some good news for fans of the Crimson Tide. Standout defensive back DeMarcco Hellams announces he will be returning for another season.
Instead of declaring for the draft, Hellams will play one more season in Tuscaloosa. His 2021 season was a strong one, featuring 87 tackles, six passes defended and three interceptions. He was a key member of the 2021 defense and will be looked to as a veteran leader in the secondary.
He will look to improve his draft stock for the 2023 draft, which is beginning to look like it will be loaded with Alabama talent.
