After controversy surrounding Henrik “Froggen” Hansen’s claims that  NA LCS teams were reluctant to scrim Echo Fox, the Rick Fox-owned team is back to getting requests, says jungler Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham in a vlog released on February 2 (just a day after the Froggen interview was released).

“Actually, after we went 2-0 [in Week 2], we had LCS teams contact us for scrims,” he laughs in the video. “So that’s pretty good.”

According to Froggen, the ban on scrims came as a result of allegations that Echo Fox poached support player Adrian “Adrian” Ma from Phoenix1. Riot Games then came to the defense of the organization, stating that the poaching wasn’t against the rules due to the fact that P1 had yet to submit documentation to the league. Other team owners allegedly took offense to the move, banning their rosters from scrimming Echo Fox.

Now, however, it seems that Echo Fox’s results have changed some minds. The team holds a 4-4 record and is tied for 4th place with Phoenix1 and Immortals. Their next match will be on Saturday, February 18 against Team Envy.
