Sometimes fame has sweet perks. Really sweet perks.

Perfetti Van Melle, the Kentucky-based company that makes Airheads, a taffy-like candy that comes in a range of fruit flavors, has created an exclusive flavor just for New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and his teammates.

Called “Alvin Kamara’s Watermelon Zoom!” the bars’ wrappers are black and gold, natch, and feature the smiling face of Kamara.

The 23-year-old is a huge fan of the candy, and watermelon is his favorite flavor. Perfetti Van Melle communications manager Stephanie Creech said it’s a “kicked up watermelon” they created for Kamara.

Kamara has an “extremely modest” partnership with the company, and in August it sent him some test flavors for his personalized Airheads, according to Nola.com. Naturally, he chose the watermelon-based one.

Kamara the Kandy Man

Following in the tradition of the Raiders’ Marshawn Lynch, who eats a few Skittles after scoring and was thrilled to see his face on special packages of the treat earlier this year, Kamara has become known for his fondness for Airheads.

Not long after he was drafted by New Orleans last year, Airheads tweeted to Kamara, asking if he wanted a care package. But somehow Kamara missed the message initially; he replied six months later, and a week after his response, he got a package with so many Airheads he could start giving them out on the sideline after touchdowns.

For Kamara and friends only

In case you’re wondering, the “Watermelon Zoom!” flavor won’t be available to the public.

“We’ve produced these specifically for Alvin so this season he has something of his very own to give out to his teammates and fans, and we’re confident that he’ll have enough to get through the playoffs,” Creech said.
