AFC East standings after Week 6: Dolphins fall to the bottom

The Miami Dolphins dropped to fourth place in the AFC East after losing their Week 6 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Tua Tagovailoa returned to action and played pretty well, but the team continues to have issues with their defense and coaching staff that are keeping them from winning games.

Miami fell below the New York Jets who were off in Week 6, as that third-place spot is separated by just a single loss. New York has been one of the worst teams in the NFL this year, as rookie Zach Wilson has thrown more interceptions than any other quarterback despite playing one fewer game than most of them.

New England remains in the second spot in the East after losing their overtime battle with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones has impressed early on, but they just haven’t been able to get over the hump. It could be argued that the Patriots are just a few plays from being a 5-1 team.

Buffalo, despite losing on Monday night to Tennessee, is still atop the division. They have been one of the best teams in the conference this year due to their success in all phases of the game. If they continue playing the way they have, they are destined for an AFC Championship appearance.

Week 7 AFC East matchups:

Miami Dolphins (1-5) vs. Atlanta Falcons (2-3)

New England Patriots (2-4) vs. New York Jets (1-4)

Buffalo Bills: Bye Week
