Brady makes free-agent pitch to Judge at Buccaneers game originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

All eyes are on Aaron Judge and the decision he makes in free agency, which could come as soon as this week.

The Giants and New York Yankees reportedly are the top two contenders to employ Judge for the better part of the next decade. But on Monday night, Judge attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 17-16 win over the New Orleans Saints, and star quarterback Tom Brady made his best pitch.

"Do you want to play tight end for us tonight?" Brady asked with a smile.

Judge did play football at Linden High School and was recruited to play tight end by notable NCAA Division I programs like Stanford, Notre Dame and UCLA before opting for baseball.

Judge was wearing Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans' No. 13 jersey at the game. He was returning the favor after Evans donned a No. 99 Yankees jersey in October when Judge mashed his 62nd homer to break Roger Maris' American League record.

If Brady were to make a pitch for Judge on which baseball team he should sign with, there's a good chance it would be the Giants. Brady was a Giants fan while growing up in San Mateo, Calif., and cheered against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2020 World Series.
