The Ravens added some depth to the already stout defensive line in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the selection of Texas A&M defensive tackle Justin Madubuike.

Here are five things you need to know about the newest Raven.

1. He's a local celebrity in Texas

Madubuike got so many recruitment offers in the mail before he made his choice, his family's mail carrier told his mother that the employees at the post office were betting on which school he would choose. Whoever had Texas A&M definitely cracked a grin on National Signing Day.

2. The doctor that delivered him knew he what he was born to do.

According to his mother, Maureen, when Madubuike was born, his doctor took a look at him and the first words out of his mouth were, 'Oh my god, this is a football player.'

3. His parents escaped their home in Nigeria in 1994 and moved to Texas

His mother and father didn't come to America with much when they fled Nigeria in 1994 due to political upheaval, but were eternally grateful to arrive in Texas unharmed.

4. He will suit up alongside his college teammate Daylon Mack in Baltimore

The Ravens selected Mack in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M, and he was ecstatic to find out his friend would be joining him in Charm City.

5. With Calais Campbell, Brandon Williams, and Derek Wolfe all over the age of 30, Madubuike will have all the time he needs to get adjusted to the NFL.

The Ravens bolstered their defensive line depth with a high-updside player in Madubuike, 22, who will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best interior linemen the NFL has to offer.
