This 5-star quarterback recruit visiting Florida this week

Florida football’s recruiting team is getting a big-name prep prospect on campus this week as five-star quarterback prospect Jaden Rashada out of Pittsburg (California) is making the trek to Gainesville for an unofficial visit. According to the plans he shared with GatorsOnline, Rashada is arriving at the Swamp on Wednesday and will depart on Friday, giving him ample time to take in the sights and sounds while hobnobbing with the program’s staff.

Last Tuesday, the 6-foot-4-inch, 185-pound signal-caller announced his top seven schools, which featured Florida as well as Oregon, Cal, Miami, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and LSU. Rashada’s father Harlen, who has been at the forefront of his son’s recruiting efforts, told On3, “I believe in coach Napier and coach O’Hara, their QB development and getting guys ready for the next level,” which is encouraging for the Orange and Blue.

The Californian is the No. 30 prospect overall and the No. 5 quarterback nationally in the 2023 class, per the 247Sports Composite which gives him a five-star rating, while the On3 Consensus has him at No. 58 and No. 7, respectively, and a four-star rating. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Oregon out front for Rashada with a 57.2% chance of landing him with Miami in second at 17.9% and Texas A&M third at 14.7%.
