  •  Kate Hudson has been living it up at the beach lately, and it looks blissful.

  • The actress, 43, posted a couple of Instagrams showing the world her sunny weekend...and also her rock-hard abs.

  • Kate eats mostly plant-based foods and has done intermittent fasting. Plus, she loves Pilates.

Kate Hudson had the best lazy Sunday this past weekend. The Almost Famous star, 43, spent her day chilling in the sun, reading and spending time with her 3-year-old daughter, Rani Rose, whom she shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa, at the beach. And she shared a couple Instagram posts with all the sweet little moments.

In her first post, she shared some scenes from her day prepping for the beach, which included some time reading outside in her backyard. In the post, Kate posed for a mirror selfie in a bandeau top and rolled over athletic shorts, sun hat and shades...and her abs are simply ripped.

Kate also shared a shot of some sunscreen, Baby Bum SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, which every beauty queen knows is an everyday must. Thankfully for us, she also shared the book she's been digging into titled Great Circle by Maggie Shipstead. And she has us totally in the mood for a day in the sun.

"It’s beginning to feel a lot like summer…☀️," she captioned the pics and videos. Indeed, it is!

In her second post, Kate shared a video of herself stretched out on a towel with her daughter, Rani Rose, soaking up the sun together. Kate is rocking a bikini and hat, while Rani is playing in the sand by her feet. Talk about a dream day!

"Todays a good day ☀️ (Sound on)," she captioned the video.

The mother-daughter duo were too cute to handle. "😍", Paris Hilton commented. Another follower wrote, "So peaceful!"

Kate's abs get in a killer shape during her sessions with her trainer Brian Nguyen. During a session last November, she crushed some intense sled pulls and pushes, which literally work...everything.

She also loves doing Pilates. "I like to be able to set new goals to see what I can accomplish, and I love how flexible and strong I feel after a good workout, especially doing Pilates, which never gets easier," Kate told People last year.

She also loves doing at-home workouts, especially ones from the Tracy Anderson Method. Back in February, she shared a video of herself doing a virtual class that included lots of weighted leg lifts and kicks.

Kate shared more about her workout philosophy last year.

“I grew up witnessing my parents take care of their bodies. People always ask me how I get motivated to stay in shape. The answer is, it’s what I know. It’s how I was raised. It’s ingrained in my brain that honoring and working our body is a gift, and so I don’t take it for granted,” she said.

“I loooove moving. I love when it’s challenging. I love being in charge of my results," she added. "And I looooove seeing my daughter have fun doing it with me. They watch everything we do! Gotta make some good moves for kids.”

As for her diet, Kate previously shared with Women's Health that she's a fan of intermittent fasting and eats mostly plant-based foods. She aims to eat about five meals a day, starting her day with celery juice and a protein shake, oatmeal, an acai bowl, or eggs. She also adds in lots of veggies like squash and zucchini noodles to her diet. And if she feels like she needs some extra protein, she’ll throw chicken, fish, or steak in there, too.

And Kate loves a good cocktail.

Cheers, Kate, we're so ready for summer, too!
