2018 Forward Jairus Hamilton (NC) will visit Boston College next weekend, per Jeff Goodman

Jairus Hamilton is a 6-8 forward from the Cannon School (NC), with offers from Duke, UNC, Kansas, Ohio State, South Carolina, Arizona, and many other ACC schools.

Boston College seems to have a pipeline into North Carolina, with Ky Bowman and Jerome Robinson coming from the Tar Heel state. Hamilton will be BC's fifth target from NC in the 2018 class.

Unfortunately for BC, Hamilton is unlikely to commit, but getting a visit from a recruit of Hamilton's caliber is a major boost for this program.

Sources have told EagleAction that Hamilton is being recruited by new Assistant Coach Chris Cheeks, who joined the BC staff a few weeks ago after coaching at Western Kentucky last season. Cheeks was known for his recruiting ties in the southeast, but for him to get a visit from a recruit like Hamilton this early is very encouraging.

Hamilton is currently ranked 55th in the ESPN100, and took an unofficial visit to UNC last spring, but it seems most of his official visits will come in the fall.

Standing 6-8 and with elite athleticism, bringing in a recruit like Hamilton would instantly change the entire dynamic of the program, so hopefully the visit goes well.
