This 4-star RB likely to wait until end of year for official visit to Florida

Four-star running back Cedric Baxter Jr. is one of Florida’s top targets at the running back position this cycle, along with five-star Richard Young and four-star Treyaun Webb. He has reiterated multiple times this year that he is likely in no rush to make a commitment. Gators Online reported on Wednesday that Baxter doesn’t plan on using his official visit to the Swamp until the end of the year. However, he is aiming to take another unofficial during the summer or after his spring football concludes.

The Orlando, Florida, native is ranked as the 46th best player overall and as the fourth-best player at his position, according to the 247Sports composite. Baxter recently released his list of top schools that included the Gators as well as Arkansas, Miami, Texas and Texas A&M.

A few weeks ago, Baxter told On3 that he wanted to take one or two official visits and the rest during the season, but those plans have already changed. He believes he won’t make a commitment until the end of the year but hasn’t ruled out the possibility of making one sooner.

If Baxter decides to move up his decision timeline and starts taking official visits, look for the Gators to host him this summer. If not, they’ll likely wait until December.
