4-star QB Austin Novosad continues to impress at Day 2 of All-American Bowl practice

As we continue to go through the All-American week in the world of high school recruiting, the focus for Oregon Duck fans is starting to hone in on 4-star QB signee Austin Novosad.

While the weekend and early days of the week were focused on the Under Armour All-American game, where guys like 4-star WR Ashton Cozart and 4-star DL Ashton Porter turned heads, the start of practice at the All-American Bowl down in San Antonio as seen a new group of Ducks take the stage. Most notably, Oregon’s newest quarterback has started to make some waves.

4-star QB Austin Novosad is turning heads down in Texas. The former Baylor commit who flipped to the Ducks on signing day was named the No. 1 passer in the group on Tuesday, and he continued with another strong day on Wednesday, being named the No. 2 passer in the group, behind only 5-star UCLA signee Dante Moore.

Take a look at some of his highlights from the day:

On3's Charles Power on Austin Novsad:

Here’s what On3’s Charles Power had to say about Novosad, who he ranked as the No. 2 QB on the day:

Austin Novosad was one again the top quarterback for the West team on Wednesday. The Dripping Springs (Texas) product looks to have the best pure pass ability of the group. Novosad has been steady through two days. He’s accurate and consistently throws a clean, catchable ball with solid velocity. Novosad was largely unbothered while operating behind center during the team portion of the morning practice. He got the ball out quickly and on time. While Novosad is certainly more of an in-structure quarterback at this time, we did see him make a play outside of the pocket, rolling to his left and finding Mikal Harrison-Pilot downfield for a long gain. He was not quite as strong in the afternoon, with his passes dipping a bit in 7-on-7. With that said, it was still a solid day for the Oregon signee. Novosad ranks as the No. 170 overall prospect in the On300.
