4-star 2025 DL impressed with Florida football’s coaches

Florida’s football program extended a scholarship offer to On3 four-star defensive lineman Christian Garrett out of Bogart (Georgia) Prince Avenue Christian last Tuesday following his first visit to campus nearly a month prior. Since then, the Gators’ coaching staff has been in hot pursuit of the rising 2025 recruit.

“I think Florida is a great school. It has a nice scenery,” Garrett told Gators Online following his unofficial visit this spring. “You can tell the relationship it has between the coach and its players. When I visited there in April, you can tell they are always working to be better.”

It is not just the scenery that has the young recruit enamored, but also the coaching staff awaiting him in the Swamp.

“You can tell just based off a few conversations with (defensive line) coach (Sean) Spencer and (defensive line assistant) coach (Kali) James that they are some great guys with good vibes. Off the rip, they connected with me, laughed with me and all that, so yeah, I know they are some cool dudes,”  Garrett added.

The rising high school junior has offers extended from nearly a dozen programs, headlined by the Georgia Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Wake Forest Demon Deacons and Vanderbilt Commodores, among others.

Garrett is ranked No. 179 overall and No. 19 at his position nationally according to On3 while no other major recruiting outlet has any ratings or rankings for him. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Georgia in the lead for his commitment with a 58.7% chance of signing him, followed by Florida (26.9%), Georgia Tech (2.1%) and South Carolina (1.7%).
