The Houston Texans need to revamp their roster in 2021 if they hope to return to the playoffs.

Here are four potential free agents playing during the NFL divisional playoffs the club needs to keep an eye on.

1. OLB Matt Judon

Judon will be 29 years old, but he is coming off of two Pro Bowl selections. Are those because he's been on a winning team that is in the national spotlight, or is it because of his production as an edge rusher? Judon has never gone past the 10.0-sack threshold. The downside is it could be another Whitney Mercilus situation with a guy with a great on-field reputation that doesn't seem to match the present production.

2. DT Sheldon Rankins

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

The former 2016 first-round pick produced 1.5 sacks, 20 combined tackles, three tackles for loss, and nine quarterback hits in 12 games for New Orleans, one of which he has started. Adding Rankins would give the Texans a little more bulk inside as Brandon Dunn recovers from an injured pelvis and Ross Blacklock adjusts to his second year in the NFL.

3. RB Leonard Fournette

Ronald Jones was the feature back in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense throughout the regular season, but the former 2017 Jacksonville Jaguars first-round pick provided 93 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. If Fournette, a former LSU Tiger, wants to play closer to home and in a familiar division, he could get his career back on track with the Texans.

4. DE Yannick Ngakoue

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Speaking of former Jacksonville Jaguars whose careers have derailed, the former 2016 third-round pick would be 26 years old Week 1 of 2021. Ngakoue had 8.0 sacks with the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens in 2020 along with 11 tackles through the regular season. He was able to cause two fumbles and a pass breakup. Whether it is Ngakoue or not, Houston will have to address their lack of pass rush.
