For the record: Chagrin Falls dealt with injuries all through the lineup in the regular season, but that in turn gave all of its players experience. The Tigers led from wire-to-wire against 14th-seeded Columbiana and held on to defeat Rittman to return to a district semifinal for the second year in a row. The Tigers have one senior on the roster and feature a diverse scoring group led by Jacob Kay at 10.4 points per game and four others averaging over seven points. Kay and Brad Russell are strong from beyond the arc with over 40 3-pointers on the season, with Spencer Kaas as the lead distributor at 4.6 assists. ... Wellington ended the season with a pair of losses to Keystone to cap an up-and-down regular season in which the Dukes had three losses by five points or fewer. The Dukes are led by Sean Whitehouse at 21.1 points per game and seven rebounds. Wellington also has Chase McKenzie at 5.4 rebounds and Landon Wright, who averages three assists. It will be a battle of who can control the boards for who punches their ticket to the district final.
