3 keys to a Bills victory vs. the Dolphins in Week 18

The Buffalo Bills (10-6) take on the Miami Dolphins (11-5) on Sunday during a pivotal stretch of Buffalo’s season as the team is trying to hold on to their playoff hopes.

After beating the New England Patriots in Week 17, the Bills have a small margin of error the rest of the season. Buffalo is facing an opportunity to beat Miami and take home the 2023 AFC East title.

However, the Bills could still miss the playoffs entirely. It’s quite the strange situation ahead of Buffalo this week.

With that, here are three keys to the Bills beating the Dolphins in Week 18 at Hard Rock Stadium:

In the 48-20 win the Bills had over the Dolphins in Week 4, Buffalo dominated in the air. Quarterback Josh Allen went 21-for-25 for 320 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

This time around the Dolphins do have cornerback Jalen Ramsey in their lineup. However, the likes of defensive back Xavien Howard won’t play and pass rushers Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips are out. Buffalo should figure out a way to take advantage of that.

On offense, the Dolphins are likely to be without receiver Jaylen Waddle due to injury. That’s going to make top playmaker a huge part of Miami’s game plan.

Shut him down. Buffalo did a great job of that once already this season. In Week 4, Hill was held to 58 yards on four targets. That was his second-lowest total of the season.

The Bills could know their playoff lives before the game even kicks off. Probably better if they don’t. Just go out and play… and keep the TVs off.
