3 keys to a Bills victory vs. the Jets in Week 11
The Buffalo Bills will hope to add another win to their record in 2023 in Week 11. The team will host the New York Jets at Highmark Stadium.
As usual, it will never be a walk in the park in the NFL. If the Bills (5-5) expect to beat the Jets (4-5), there will be few key things Buffalo will have to focus on against New York.
It will have to be a full-team effort, make no mistake. But these factors could weigh heavy on whether or not Buffalo sends New York home with a win or loss.
Here are three keys to the Bills pulling out a victory against the Jets:
Turn the page
Some in Western New York might be celebrating the Bills’ decision to fire offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. The team is not. Even quarterback Josh Allen said he took that choice personally because he knows it’s his and his teammates’ fault.
Even so, Buffalo’s locker room can’t get held up on that. Turn the page. Beat the Jets.
Keep the ball
Dorsey was not the one turning the ball over.
The Bills have 18 total giveaways so far this season. Of those, four happened last week including three from Allen.
The Jets have one of the NFL’s best defenses. A massive key to beating them is winning the turnover battle.
Stop the run
The Bills surprisingly lost to the Jets despite quarterback Aaron Rodgers sustaining an Achilles injury right away in Week 1.
However, Jets running back Breece Hall led the way with 127 rushing yards in that win for New York. He’s got to be the focus for Buffalo’s defense and head coach Sean McDermott for good reason.
