Biggest storyline: The Mustangs are a young, up-and-coming team again. And they're coming off a Prep Bowl title. Can they survive a rugged first half of the regular season schedule?
Names to watch this season: OL Trevor Tovey (Sr.), WR Henry Wilson Jr. (Jr.) and ATH Kaleb Brown (Sophomore)
Biggest holes to fill: Who wins the quarterback battle? And can the Mustangs replace several graduated starters from last season's defensive unit?
EDGY's Early Take: A rough schedule along with various injuries derailed the early portion of the St Rita season in 2018; however, the Mustangs caught a second wind in the Prep Bowl playoffs and finished strong. The Mustangs have talent –particularly young talent- back this season. But again being able to survive and win a few games in August/September will be critical for St. Rita. If the Mustangs can find a way to a winning record come October 25, they might be as battle-tested as any team in the Land of Lincoln after nine weeks of regular season football.
