Sports Home 2024 3-Star TE Eric Karner lists Alabama in top 5
Tight end Eric Karner of the 2024 class released his top-five schools on Thursday. Alabama was included as a finalist.
Karner plays for Immaculate Conception Catholic Prep in Elmhurst, Illinois. As a junior, Karner hauled in 12 receptions for 196 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
He was used in a multitude of different ways in the Knights’ offense. Karner lined up as both a tight end and wide receiver during his junior season. His role is relatively similar to current Alabama tight end Amari Niblack. Meaning, he can be used at both positions given his advanced skillset.
Karner was a Purdue commit when Alabama extended him an offer in early April. Since then, he has backed off of his commitment and re-opened his recruitment.
