2023 Plein Air Painting Festival returns to Superior
Sep. 7—Superior will host a full day of fresh air, painting and fun on Sept. 23.
The 2023 Plein Air Painting Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Purple Park, 1310 S. Pitkin Ave., and attendees can watch artists paint in the open air, a technique known as "en plein air." More than a dozen artists will be at the festival.
There will also be food trucks, live music, free face painting, two creative-station art tents for all attendees and the opportunity to purchase original paintings.
Kids aged 12-18 can sign up for the Youth Mentorship Program and paint alongside artists. Contact Arts and Historical Programs Supervisor Jennifer Garner at jenniferg@superiorcolorado.gov to sign up for the program.
