2022 US Women’s Open prize money: A breakdown of the record $10 million purse
The winner of the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open will take home a record $1.8 million, the largest payout in women’s golf history.
Yuki Saso earned $1 million after winning the tournament at the Olympic Club in 2021. When Annika Sorenstam claimed top honors in the 1996 U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles, the overall purse was $1 million.
On Saturday morning, the USGA released the overall prize money payoubreakdown for the golfers who made the cut this week. The 61 players who missed the cut get $8,000, but amateur golfers receive no prize money.
