2022 NBA draft: Final projection for Tennessee’s Kennedy Chandler
Freshman guard Kennedy Chandler appeared in 34 games for the Vols during the 2021-22 season.
The 6-foot, 171-pound Chandler averaged 13.9 points, 4.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game for Tennessee.
The 2022 NBA draft will take place Thursday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Ahead of the draft, For The Win released its final mock draft projections. Chandler is projected to be selected in the first-round with the No. 26 overall pick by Houston.
Houston is unlikely to use all three of its draft picks in the first round, and may use this pick to trade up or out.
But if the Rockets are looking for depth in their backcourt, and they hold on to their pick in this range, Tennessee’s Kennedy Chandler would be someone they’d seriously consider.
Chandler, who had 19 points and 9 assists during his final collegiate game, shoots well off the catch and looks comfortable as the ball handler in the pick and roll. –For The Win
