The Big Ten announced Tuesday that it is relocating its 2021 men's conference tournament from the United Center in Chicago to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, In.

A statement released by the conference cited centralizing operations between the men's and women's tournaments -- the latter of which will also take place at Lucas Oil Stadium -- as the primary factor behind the decision. Doing so, per the Big Ten, will make it easier to accommodate COVID-19 testing and other medical protocols.

The women's tournament is currently scheduled to take place from March 4-8; the men's from March 10-14. The 2021 NCAA tournament will also take place in Indianapolis and "surrounding communities."

The Big Ten men's tournament will return to the United Center in 2023, the venue's 11th time hosting the event since 1998.
