2020 Puppy Bowl: Date, Time, What you need to know

The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs won't be the only teams that fans will be tuning in to watch this Sunday. 

For the 16th year, Animal Planet will showcase the Puppy Bowl XVI.

96 furry friends from 61 shelters throughout the U.S. and Canada will compete for a special a CHEWY "Lombarky" trophy. This year will feature the largest amount of international talent, with players representing Cartagena, Columbia; St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands; and Toronto.

The show is part of a campaign to promote adopting animals. All of the puppies will be available for adoption.

Last year, after a hard fought battle, Team Ruff defeated Team Fluff 59-51, taking home the Lombarky.
